With a proud history in Walthamstow dating back to 1916, the 14th Walthamstow Scout Group has been supporting young people in the local community for over a century. Based at our hall on Wood Street, we’re a long-standing, volunteer-led group dedicated to helping young people gain skills for life through adventure, teamwork, and new experiences.
At the 14th, we believe in youth-led Scouting. Whether it’s planning activities, taking on challenges, or working towards personal goals, young people are encouraged to take the lead. Our role as leaders is to support, guide, and create opportunities—helping turn ideas into reality and giving every young person the confidence to grow and succeed.
From weekly meetings to camps, community projects, and outdoor adventures, everything we do is built around giving young people the chance to explore, achieve, and make a real impact—right here in Walthamstow.
Behind every great session is a dedicated team keeping the 14th running smoothly. While you might not always see them, they’re hard at work behind the scenes making everything possible. To get to know the friendly faces leading each section, head over to our section pages.
